Spring inside!

We still have lots of snow on the east coast but since it is spring I thought I would share my indoor garden..  African violets were my mother’’s and they must be at least 25 years old as they have been around forever.

You are so lucky to have such a great sunny spot for your lovely plants. My mom had African Violets too and she loved them so. She passed a couple years ago and today was her birthday. It’s so special to remember her love of plants, especially today

I must have been meant to post that picture that day. My mother and now I have given transplants to friends and they always comment Clara’s African violet is in bloom again! So I agree a special connection and good memories.

I have a Christmas cactus that came from my grandmother’s giant specimen, which is still alive and well at my brother’s house. She passed in 1997, and we cherish the sweet connection that we still have with her through her prized plants

I agree there is something special about a connection through something alive. Plants can be apart of our home on a daily basis and always bring warmth and color in – a lot of people I guess! Not sure where you are from Diane but I’m looking out my window on the East Coast of Canada to snow. Sigh. Happy Spring.
