A Facelift

Facelift

I have finally conquered my fear of repurposing old furniture.  I have always wanted to try my hand at it but I’m not one to do something unless I know it will turn out well.   So this summer, it finally happened.   I got the gumption and dug in.

Last year my husband and I bought new bedroom furniture   Love it!!   It’s a beautiful dark wood with just a hint of red.  My poor vanity stuck out like a sore thumb in its oak skin.   So I painted it with black paint to give it a facelift.  However, the final touch is nothing short of a match made in heaven.  My sister and I are auction junkies and typically buy things that will be used for something later.  She had this old chair in her garage.  All it needed was a good rub with sandpaper, a coat of black paint and a new cushion.

Yeah, I’m happy with the new look.
