My Vineyard Home

Welcome to Lake Chelan and Amos Rome Vineyards!  When we sold our big house in Seattle, we bought and remodeled a condo in Edmonds and also bought some land in Eastern Washington to start our retirement dream!  We have about 12 acres of Merlot, Cab Franc, Pinot Noir and Malbec planted and in the middle of the vineyard, we built a huge garage with a 2 bed/2 bath unit above.  We wanted something open so we could host a lot of people and share the beauty of the area.

I jumped on the gray and white kitchen bandwagon and love it!  The cabinets are two tone- darker Cityscape (SW7067) on the lower and lighter Argos (SW7065) above.  Large scale white subway tile and medium brown hardwood floors all blend together beautifully with Desert Gold granite countertops.  Color is supplied by my Fiestaware dishes in multiple colors!  It was interesting to design and plan around all the furniture I already had which we brought from our Seattle home. Walls and ceilings are Wool Skein (SW6148) with Arcade White (SW7100) trim.

Our great room flows right from the kitchen with a large table and black granite bar and into the seating area.  We had dark red leather furniture but wanted to add a bit more color so ended up choosing Riverway (SW6222) in the livingroom.

Also had to spray paint and recover our old chairs! A bit hard to tell in these photos but metal is now grayer and the fabric also has quite a bit of gray going through it.Master bed and bath are also in the gray theme with Intellectual Gray (SW7045) which looks more green.  Bath cabinets are the same light gray as the kitchen with left over Lennon granite from our Edmonds condo!

Guest bath is also the same light gray kitchen cabinet color with the same kitchen granite.  Wall color in guest bed and bath is Upward (SW6239) which looks more blue.I would love to hear what you all think of all the colors I have chosen – a bit of a crazy mixture but with all the windows and sunlight we get here, it seems to work.  Still a work in progress as I have many bare walls that need to be addressed…..

The lighting fixture in the bathroom is really striking. Where did you find it?

Ohhh It’s sooo nice and reminds me of Europe! Beautiful job!
Lately, I haven’t posted much because I think I am still a Southern country girl at heart. I’ve been toying with the idea of selling and moving out to a place with lots of land and having a garden and chickens and letting the dogs have a big yard to play. After seeing your pictures I am thinking of researching more places here in WA. I am in healthcare and can go anywhere, but hubby needs to stay closer to the Seattle/Tacoma area for work. Now.. I want a vineyard! lol OH dear!
