I finally finished my studio in our new house and decided to take some quick photos before everything gets messy, again. This is a huge room that my husband and I each share, so I used folding screens and doors to separate our spaces.
Fortunately, I get the side with the large sliding door. I recently made these no-sew drop cloth drapes with a faux valance…
Everything is used to store the many supplies I have, including these old suitcases. I always do a sniff test when buying one because I don’t want musty smells.
I hung some of my artwork on the wall, used Longaberger market baskets to hold file folders, and created an area with items that I love and make me happy
I call this MY HAPPY PLACE!
I can see why this is your happy place Carol, it’s fabulous! Your art is beautiful and I’m sure you are continually inspired in your new space!
Thank you, Amy. Yes, this space is truly my happy place.
What a nice space. I bet your creative juices derived from such creative, beautiful, and functional space as this. I love the way you store things on the floor and hang things on the wall. It makes me happy, too, just looking at the pictures. But more imporntaly it makes me want to do things in your space.
Thank you Hanh! I have so much “stuff”, I had to be creative on how to find a good place for everything, so that everything will stay in it’s space when not in use.
Yep! That’s a real happy place. I can see how creating can raise your spirits and calm the worries. Such bliss when you can follow your passions, eh? ๐
I adore the little “Bloom” piece. ๐
That is great to have a space you can spread out, display and create. I’m envious.
Thank you, Brenda!
Hi Carol! Your “Happy Place” is so bright and cheery! What a Great space to create your projects! I
really like your idea of using old suit cases for storage. I also like your large “Happy Place” bulletin board. Very nice Space!
