Kitchen remodel on a budget

Our new farm house sink. I <3 it!

Hi! My name is Leslie and I’m here because I love decorating and interior design and I especially love the idea of embracing what you have.  My family and I live in a 1970’s California ranch that has about 1700 sq feet.  We love our home and know that God-willing this will be our forever home.  It’s not the biggest – It’s not the prettiest – but it is our HOME and we love it because it is filled with the people that matter.

I don’t have a blog but I love reading them and I am right in the middle of a kitchen remodel so I thought this would be a great place to share some pictures and get some feedback.  Thanks for looking!

Love it! I have wood in my kitchen also! I really wanted mine the same colour as yours but my hubby was in charge of it and he stained it ebony/walnut and sealed it with boat sealant to make it water proof. It’s super shiny now.

Hi Leslie! Love the direction you’re headed in here. Butcher block and a farmhouse sink are my absolute favorite in any kitchen – yours are beautiful! 🙂

Welcome Leslie! I love the choices you have a made so far with your kitchen! I have thought about the butcher block counter top and painting my cabinets gray for my kitchen. And that farmhouse sink is the perfect touch! Thanks for the inspiration! Looking forward to seeing the final results! 🙂

I love ktichen reno. Yours looks nice so far. You have every right to love your home the way it is and how it came. Mine is a litle over 1800 square ft., open plan, not much bigger than yours. What matters is how you live in it and what makes you happy.
