Introduction

What a great idea this is Melissa!!  I’m excited to see everyone’s home and all the wonderful things they have to share.  I strongly believe that our homes are a place to serve and create environments of welcoming and love for all who enter.  My home is far from perfect, not only in decorating but also in the people who reside in it’s walls.  We are all learning and trying our best.  The important thing is to just keep trying, be forgiving of others and self, and to be teachable.

When it comes to the home, I believe it is mainly the woman’s domain (there are exceptions of course) and you will often hear me refer to it as “My Desk”.  Being a stay-at-home mom, this is where I do all my work and so I believe that it needs to be what I want and need it to be so that I can do the best job I can.  It truly saddens me to see women who are scared to do things or try things because they’re afraid to get it wrong, afraid to waste money, or afraid of what their husband, mother, MIL, or friends will say.  A woman should be able to walk into her home and love what she sees.

I do have my own blog and am currently documenting a new house we bought that has needed a lot of TLC.  I’d love for you to come check it out, and I will certainly be giving updates here as well.  You can find it at {the8cowhouse.blogspot.com}.

I’m glad we can be neighbors and I look forward to getting to know many of you.

Make it a great day!!!!
