Hello all! This is my first post here on HomeLoveStories, and I’m super excited to be here!
So I’ve been in the process of adding items to this gallery wall for almost a year now. Everything (minus the plate which was purchased and added to the wall today) is a DIY project. I feel like I’m moving at a snail’s pace with this wall, and I probably am. Obviously with the blank spaces it’s not done yet. However, every time I see this wall now that it’s coming together it makes me smile, and proud to have created this spot in my home. #makeitpretty
It’s beautiful! I love that you’ve made each item, it makes it extra special to have your own personal touch instead of store bought items. Can’t wait to see it as you add more items!
Welcome!
Great job on your wall! It sure feels nice to see something pretty, doesn’t it?
Alisa, everything coordinates so nicely. Was the plate the inspiration or just a great find that coordinated perfectly?
I stumbled across the plate at my local HomeGoods last week, and just knew it would tie in with the rest of the wall. Plus it was less than $3!!
I really like all the different lines in your grouping. You are on the right track as far as I’m concerned!!
Thank you so much! There are times I’ve second guessed the overall look, but I keep telling myself that it looks just fine. 🙂
Hi Alyssa! Welcome to the Neighborhood! I think your wall mural is coming along very well. I really like the frame with the gold leaf. The new plate is a nice added touch. I.m thinking some kind of object in the blank space to the right. I have been seeing some new different styles of door knob hooks. . . maybe something like that?
Welcome Alisa! So happy you began with a gallery wall as I am currently deciding whether to add to mine or leave it. I think I will post a picture and get some help from the girls in the neighbourhood. Looking forward to seeing more posts from you 🙂
Hi Alisa, I think your gallery wall looks great! The colors you are using are pretty and calming, and I think it’s wonderful that you have made almost all of it (and the plate is a perfect addition). Great job!
A very pretty and pastel galler wall there. At first I was indifferent to a gallery wall idea, but now that I have one, I think it can be done well if you know what you want. And if you patiently or slowly add objects to your collection, it can be nice and calming. My problem was when I wanted a gallery wall, I wanted it “gallerized” at one go. I did that and it turned out well for me. My story on master bedroom features that wall that I have had since the new year. It was a lot of work doing it, so the gallery wall will be like that for a while.
