Fall’in for Farmhouse Part 1

Welcome! I am finally ready for Fall! We recently had some long over due painting done in our Kitchen & Family Room! What a big difference! Fresh white painted ceilings & trim! And lighter painted walls with a paint color called Grayish. So I thought I would start my Fall decorating with this Table Scape by adding some Farmhouse details including 2 New wicker chairs for either end of my table. 🙂

I wanted to mention that this weekend we will be doing some demolition on the opposite side of our kitchen. Yay! We will be making some small kitchen renovations including taking down our blue tile back splash. Please follow along to see what material we have decided to use for a backsplash to replace the tile. We will also be replacing our laminate counter top with granite! I am so excited!

Lets keep in touch . . . I will be posting my Living Room soon, that is now ready for Fall. I added a couple of new furniture pieces and a few new decorating pieces to start giving this space a fresher, more updated look.

Thank you for stopping by! 🙂

Oh Maria! Once more our tastes match! My walls are painted SW Grayish as well! I have been living with it for 2 years now and love it in all lights and time of day. Your table looks fantastic. Nice mix of textures and I love the cloth pumpkins! I’ve been eyeing some at Marshalls all fall but have to show some restraint! You must be so excited about the granite! My son has had it installed and it is beautiful. Can’t wait to see the progress in your new project. Hugs! 🙂

Hi Nancy! I can’t believe we have the same color walls! Too funny! I read what you have been up to from your comment on Jennifer’s recent post! I’m so proud of you with your weight loss! What a big accomplishment! You must feel great!! You seem to be very busy these days! But busy is good! Thank you so much for the compliment on my Fall Table. I can see now how you think the pumpkins are cloth, but they are actually some kind of naturally dried up herb or something dyed and glued together. Restraint has been difficult for me lately and I know I have to cut back on unnecessary spending, But I couldn’t resist these pumpkins and a couple of other ones. My reasoning was, instead of buying a whole bunch of real pumpkins this year that will eventually rot away, I can reuse these next year in different a way. Thanks for taking the time to chat! I love hearing from you! Hugs back!! 🙂

I should have clarified one thing…I have already purchased two new table runners. a new glass pumpkin and a small bronze pumpkin covered dish this fall so when Marshalls brought out the larger pumpkins (and yes you are right most were some form of herb or plant fiber) I had to show some restraint. Also, the weight loss has me spending a lot of money on new clothes! 🙂 Ciao for now!

Thank you so much Angie! I’m glad you stopped by! I read some of your replies from your 1st Post and wanted to tell you that please don’t be nervous and especially don’t be intimidated of what you see around our neighborhood! We are not professional decorators. We just love to DECORATE!
I found that through the years, decorating and redecorating my home has become a hobby for me and I love that I am able to share my home with all of you through each process. I can show you something I think looks good enough to post one day and the next day I find myself changing things around again! But that’s the fun of it! So post away! I am looking forward to seeing some your home remodeling that you have mentioned! 🙂

Hi, Maria! You’ve definitely been busy around the home, and it sounds like you’ve got much more ahead with some kitchen demolition! I’ve never attempted anything like remodeling, just redecorating. I always look forward to your updates. Enjoy the season!

Hi Jennifer! It’s good to hear from you! Yes, we have become quite the “Do it Yourselfers” over the years! Although, I thought those days were over! Our small Kitchen Reno all started because we had renovated our Mudd Room/Workshop and changed it into a Laundry Room this past Spring. I haven’t posed it yet because it is in it’s final stages of completion. Anyway, we needed a small counter top for one of the cabinets in our Laundry Room. So, a few weeks ago we went to a stone shop and found a granite counter top remnant. We liked is so much that we thought it would look good in our Kitchen. We knew that eventually we wanted to replace our laminate counter top. But really, not expecting to do this so soon! Well, the granite we chose is a darker gray than the counter top we have now and we didn’t think it would go with our blue tile back splash, so we decided to take down the blue tile and it had to be soon because we had to schedule a day for the counter top installation this coming week. I can now say that the Demolition is completed! And renovation has begun! Yay! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

Thank you so much Hanh! Happy Fall to you too! Let me tell you a little secret . . . I am not a big fan of bright orange! lol, but I actually am happy with the color choices I made for incorporating some of the darker orange hues into my Table Scape. I also have some of the darker orange hues incorporated into my Fall Decor for my Living Room, which I will be posting very soon. Thank you for stopping by! 🙂
