Renovation Reality

Hi there! You’re meeting me while I am in the 6th week of a kitchen/dining/pantry renovation. My house and life has been turned upside down but I can’t wait to see it all come together in the next week. I have a sweet baby boy who is 8 1/2 months old and just learned to crawl a week ago. In a renovation zone. What is life without it’s little challenges, though? I could not do any of this without the support of my amazing husband. He works hard all day and comes home to continue working on the kitchen. What a guy! Anyone else ever found themselves in a house that is a disaster from a renovation? I make lists in my head and on paper everyday on how I’ll get it all put back together once we’re done and when I close my eyes I envision a clean kitchen, orderly cabinets and drawers, glass canisters with my dry goods all lined up in the pantry. Ahh… so relaxing! We will have our counter tops installed next Friday at noon so at least the end is near. Of course, I’ll need to dust and “reset” and clean the rest of the house as well. But that’s for another day!

About Me

Hello everyone, I’m Dianna. I’m just learning to really love my home. Right now I live in an apartment and as much as I enjoy the layout and room that I have we are looking to move in a few months. I absolutely love creating pieces for my home from everyday items. I’ve recently completed a book page wreath and am working on redoing a mirror that I just painted white.  I’m a homeschool mom to three beautiful girls and I currently work part time outside of the home in the evenings. I’m very involved in our church and I really wish I had more time to spend on my home. I’m here to get inspiration and the desire to make my home more beautiful. I really look forward to meeting all of you.

Making Our House A Home

Hello! I’m Melissa and we live near Seattle, Washington. We’ve lived in our house for six years now and every year it feels more and more like home!

It’s amazing that after six years I still feel like there is so much I could do to make our home even more homey! But I’m enjoying every minute of the slow process. I love making each corner pretty, or a reflection of what we value and what inspires us!

I’m excited to be here with you all! xo
