I saw these floating around Facebook this week& thought I’d give it a go since I was home from work today & feeling domestic. lol
You will need 2 sheets of Puff Pastry, Your Favorite Jam, 2 Apples
*Optional walnuts & spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg
Unroll your puff pastry and cut alon the lines. You’ll end up with 3 pieces on each sheet.
Cut an apple in half and take out the center.
Make the thinnest slices you can with your apples.
Put apple slices along the top and above the edges of your pastry. On the other half put your jam,* spices, *chopped nuts
Fold the bottom up over your apple slices
Start rolling from one side all the way until it is done. Make sure your slices are tucked how you wish. Pop them in a muffin cup It will look like this.
Bake them at 375-400degrees for 50-55min. Once cooled, Dust with powdered sugar. Your special someone will think you’ve slaved all day because these are a real show stopper! Go ahead and toss on your favorite pearls & put a little flour on your cheek.
I love baked apples and those are sooo pretty! Did they taste as good as they looked?
Haven’t eaten them yet! They are still cooling! 🙂 I’ll try some tonight with coffee. They smell heavenly!!!
Just ate one… the entire thing! Omg Sooooo Yummy! I did need to nuke it 10 seconds & then the paper peeled right off. Tasted like I bought it from Panera Bread.
