For no reason I can explain in words, I LOVE Alice in Wonderland. Mostly the books themselves, but also the original Disney version. My best friend from college has caught on to this and always buys me something from Wonderland when she goes to Disneyland.
Above is a picture of my desk at work, which i’ll admit is not the most stylish place. But, I do have my framed print of my favorite scene from the book (purchased at the Alice in Wonderland store when I was in Oxford, England. Yes, i’m that crazy) and My bestie’s latest gift—a card from the Disney version of that same scene. She just gave it to me this week and it makes me happy every time I look at it. Thanks bestie!
I actually have quite the collection of Alice in Wonderland items, perhaps I should do a post on that sometime! So far I haven’t decorated our house with them much, mostly because my husband isn’t keen on the idea. But maybe I can convince him 🙂
Sweet collection idea Adrienne. When I was in Elementary school, I played the dormouse at the Mad hatter’s Tea Party. This posts takes me back…way back! 🙂
Aren’t girlfriends the best!? They seem to know what will make us happy and when we need them the most. Have a happy day!
Hi Nancy! That’s so cool that you were in a production including Alice in Wonderland! I would have killed to do that as a child!
How fun, I love having pages from childhood books and other memories around the house. My husband always looks at me a little cross eyed when he sees our Frog and Toad are Friends art, but that’s OK. Haha!
Yes! I love book art. I am a huge Grinch fan at Christmas too, I have claimed that as my favorite book of all time for a while now. And yes, we can’t all agree on decor. My husband may not like my Alice in Wonderland knick-knacks, but I think the huge deer skull/antlers he has in his office is pretty weird too…
Who doesn’t love Alice In Wonderland? Although I have not decorated my house with Alice, I have been wanting to host an over the top Alice In Wonderland party for a long time.
P.S. I am with you on the deer skull!
You definitely should! The Mad Hatter’s card (in his hat) reads 10/6, so October 6th is Mad Hatter Day (this is a real thing, it’s not just me, I swear!) and I always have a big Alice in Wonderland tea party on that day 🙂
Thanks, Adrienne! I did not know that! What a great idea!
I was just on Etsy and saw this and said. to myself.. “omg, I must show Adrienne!” 😀
