I like to keep my most heartfelt memories close by where I can see them, touch them, smile at them and yes, maybe even talk to them. This is my Grandma & Grandpa. I remember spending time at their farm especially during the summer…I recall the smell of the old wood stove, the sweet taste of cinnamon rolls on Saturday mornings, Grandma’s homemade chicken & noodles and Grandpa’s little dog Trixie. Why keep these simple treasures tucked away in a box? Gather a few of your favorite mementos and enjoy them every day!

I totally agree with you and I try to find ways to work my treasures into my everyday displays. I still fight with the “too precious” syndrome and want to hide them away for safekeeping, so thank you for encouraging me!
