This was a delicious salad that we had for dinner a week or so ago. A variation of lettuces, basil, peaches, multi-colored heirloom tomatoes, burrata, mozzarella, and a delicious drizzle of Campari Balsamic vinegar. I love food! 🙂
Every morning, while the sun is rising and the birds are beginning to chirp, I bring my coffee and yogurt out to this cozy little patio spot and it is so peaceful. I don’t spend tons of time out here during the week, but on the weekends, I sometimes bring a book here, drink coffee, and there are even some Saturdays that I can have a luxuriously long breakfast at this table. The weather is about to turn — we’re going to have very hot temperatures here very soon — but in the meantime, I am loving every minute that I get to spend in this spot. 🙂
As you can see, there are two cushions by the pool for two sunbathing puppies who enjoy the backyard as much as we do! This is something they do on a regular basis — because they each have their own pillow. 😉 It took us a long time to teach Kuma what this pillow was for, and for him to realize that it was specifically for him! This was a perfectly sunny and cool day not long ago. We were all enjoying the Arizona desert landscape and Spring weather. As you can see, their lives are “ruff.” (Sorry, it had to be said.) 😉
Every once in a while I catch these two snuggling up somewhere in the house. Kuma is ours, and Oso is a chihuahua belonging to my in-laws. Half the time they are ignoring one another, the other half Kuma is trying desperately to get the old Oso to play with him. These times are rare — when they both hang out on the same frilly dog bed and enjoy each other’s company.
This is a delicious dinner we had last night — cheesy polenta with sauteed greens and two sunny-side up eggs layered on top. Comforting, pretty, and delicious!
This is our fur-baby, Kuma. He enjoys belly rubs, yogurt, and lounging on various poufy throw pillows — the bigger the better!
This is where we live — this is our casita bedroom. It’s tiny, funky, and we love it. It makes us happy to have this little space of our own while we live at my in-laws’ house, saving for a home of our own. We are blessed!
