When the weather warms up, it’s time to get outside and our back porch becomes our #comfyspot. We enjoy coffee in the morning and dinner at night. We do have a TV out there to enjoy hanging out on summer evenings or fall football games! I found the cabinet that holds the TV at a thrift store, painted and frosted the glass.
Zoey thinks it’s comfy too! I hope you all are enjoying the start of summer!
I cut some peonies from my garden this morning. They are so beautiful and no ants so far
And of course Zoey wanted to say Hi too!
My daughter surprised me with this beautiful creation! She made this (with some help from her Dad and boyfriend, cutting the wood and drilling holes). I am so proud of her and love my gift!
Yes, I have a jewelry cabinet in the hall to my bathroom. I found that too many nights I wasn’t bothering to put my jewelry away and just dumped it on my dresser.
While shopping a thrift store I found some pretty (cheap!) teacups and decided to make a holding spot for my “stuff,” of course I had to #make it pretty!
I can’t promise that it gets put away every morning …but I try
This is Maggie…She does NOT like to have her picture taken. She is sitting in front of one of #myfavoritecorner in the house. This is where I sit after walking in the door from work. The dogs say hello and I catch up with my daughter to hear about her day.
Miss Maggie here is now an old lady of 13 years. She came to us when she was only 3 and had already led a sad life. We rescued her and she has been a great gift to our family. Lucky I was able to snap a picture before she new what I was up to!
Hey everybody! I hope y’all are having a great weekend. We have been working on our craft room, so that’s a mess. Here are a few pics from around the house tonight (minus the chaos) Happy Saturday!
What are you up to tonight?
Breakfast anyone? #aroundthetable
A few more looks for the table….
My orchid is dropping it’s flowers 🙁 So, while on the daily trip to the grocery store 😉 I found this sweet hydrangea…happy first day of spring!
The dining room in our home is, in truth, not used every day….we seem to find other places to gather and eat. It is still a lovely room to enjoy special occasions and to pull out the special things that have been handed down to us through the years!
The corner cabinets are from Crate and Barrel.
The sideboard was a junk store find that I gave a black dry brush paint treatment.
Our table started out as a plain pine farmtable…I was so tired of the orangy pine. I called my husband one afternoon and said …”do you care if I paint the table?” I painted it right there in the dining room:)
The hutch from a small furniture store about an hour from my home
The bar a yard sale find last summer.
One of my favorite things in the room is the fingerpainting above the door to the kitchen. My (now17) daughter painted it when she was 3
Glad to be a part of the Block Party! #aroundthetable
